All members of the society are welcome to attend. There is of course no charge for the AGM itself, but tickets for lunch and the afternoon lecture can be purchased for £18 (£12 for lunch only, £6 for the lecture). A ticket application form is contained in the documents that have just been mailed to all members, and payment can be made by sending a cheque and your details to the Treasurer by Tuesday 22nd February latest. Payment can also be made by PayPal or internet bank transfer if preferred (please also send details of your application and payment in an e-mail to the Treasurer: ).

Please note the change of venue this year, and also the slightly later start time of 11:30am. Refurbishment at The George Inn has led us to switch to The Crown & Anchor in Covent Garden, central London, which comes highly recommended. Details of how to travel to Covent Garden by various forms of transport can be found on this Covent Garden Official Guide.

This year we are very excited to announce that Professor Lisa Hopkins, Professor of English at Sheffield Hallam University and a Vice-President of The Marlowe Society, has agreed to give a lecture entitled And Ride in Triumph Through Persepolis: Moving on the Marlovian Stage in the afternoon following the AGM. Professor Hopkins has written books on a range of literary subjects, including a number on Marlowe (Christopher Marlowe: A Literary Life and Christopher Marlowe: Renaissance Dramatist).

Post-AGM Note: Professor Hopkins has very kindly given the Marlowe Society permission to publish a transcript of her lecture, delivered at the AGM. You can download a PDF version of the notes by clicking on the following link: And Ride in Triumph Through Persepolis: Moving on the Marlovian Stage.
